Black Forest Boutique
For nearly 100 years, Hennessy Hill School House has sat overlooking St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Maple Grove. This old one-room schoolhouse has been home to Black Forest Boutique since 1995. Owner Pat Aldritt has approximately 80 artisans, crafters and antiquers from Minnesota and Wisconsin annually. First time guest may find it a bit odd going into a cemetery for a boutique but are pleasantly surprised by the unique handmade array. These items may include antiques, furniture, florals, jewelry, lawn ornaments, paintings and children’s items such as American Girl and Barbie designs and baby items. Fall foliage welcomes guests daily from mid-September through early November. Call ahead for hours. Visit often during Black Forest Boutique’s eight-week season, because you will find something new to admire each time you walk through the door.
