Dan's Minocqua Fudge
Dan Donnellan and his nephew Mike Johnson know how to satisfy a sweet tooth, because they make the fudge that does the job at Dan’s Minocqua Fudge. Dan’s been in the fudge business 40 years. He’s seen customers return to his shop year after year during their tours of Minocqua’s
downtown shopping area. Among his customers are Governor Doyle and some of the Packers NFL team. The plain chocolate and chocolate walnut fudge are favorites, but Dan supplies plenty of flavor choices. In summer, he serves ice cream cones, shakes and malts. You will find
glass candy jars displaying hundreds of candy and taffy choices that older folks recall from their youth, such as candy necklaces and Dots on a paper strip. The old-fashioned feel of Dan’s Minocqua Fudge adds to the fun of a visit. The building dates from 1912, and Dan has outfitted it with turn of the century illuminated hardwood booths featuring stained glass and mirrors. For
